These few days without seeing Carine seem like an eternity to me. I think very regularly about the diaper that was sticking out of her jogging pants. I really would like to know more about Carine. I need to manage to talk to her and maybe even become friends with her.
This makes me think back to a friend I had when I was younger who also wore them, at least at night. At that time, I also still wet the bed and I would have liked to be able to wear them too. Now that I am cured, I still have this desire to try them. Being friends with Carine could be a good opportunity to be able to try.
I thought about going to buy some, but I'm too afraid to meet people at that time. How to justify having a package of diapers in my hands in a supermarket when I have neither brother nor sister? Complicated. If this were to be known at school, I would be the laughingstock of all, and that is out of the question.
This time, I am the first to arrive in the waiting room of the physiotherapist. I hope Carine is not delayed because I have been waiting for this moment eagerly. Fortunately, I don't have long to wait as the door opens, letting in this girl who is still as pretty as ever. If last time she was in jogging pants, today she is dressed in white shorts.
- Hello, Arthur, she says as she arrives. Shall we greet each other with a kiss?
- Hello Carine, I reply, happy to see her and hear her suggest that, with pleasure.
As I sniff her pleasant perfume, we give each other a kiss to say hello. I am too happy. I imagine it's a way to get closer to her and it reminds me of my goal today to get her phone number.
As I go to start the conversation in order to achieve my goal, Romain enters the waiting room.
- You are both here, he says, perfect. You can come. Today, the session is busy, you're going to sweat, I tell you.
Like the other times, Carine leaves her backpack here before going back to the exercise room.
The session is indeed quite intense, Romain was right. Carine and I do not have the opportunity to chat because we are always with Romain, one or the other. At one point, I am very thirsty and I mention it to Romain.
- Go have a drink, he tells me, there is a water fountain at reception.
At that moment, my brain is working like it never has before: reception, waiting room, Carine's diaper.
- Ok, I say, I'm going.
And there, it's a bit of a race against time. In order not to seem suspicious, I hurry. Walking quickly, I arrive in the waiting room. Fortunately, there is no one. I know what I'm doing is wrong, I shouldn't be rummaging through someone else's bag, but my desire is irresistible. I open her bag and reach inside.
I was right! There is indeed a flat, white, plastic object. I delicately pull out what I am holding in my hand in order to take it out of the bag. My heart is beating at 150 pulses per minute, at least. There, the diaper is out of the bag. It is all white, with a yellow stripe in the middle. It seems folded in two, oh no, in three actually. My gaze then goes back inside the bag. I can see a second diaper...
I think this is the moment when I completely lose it. I don't know what my subconscious is making me do, but with this diaper out of the bag in one hand, I close the bag and put it back where it was. I then make the decision to take a diaper, or should I say even steal one.
Now I have to think quickly, very quickly. I've been gone for a minute or two already. Romain and Carine might be starting to wonder what I'm doing. I have to hide the object of my wrongdoing. But where? If I had a jacket or a bag, I could have slipped the diaper in there but, like a beginner thief, I find myself with this evidence in my hands not knowing what to do.
I then hear noise. It's the bell on the front door that rings, indicating that a patient might be arriving in the waiting room. I then decide to go to the bathroom which is directly accessible from the waiting room, without having to pass by reception. As soon as I close the door, I remember what Romain said to Carine the last time. These bathrooms are tiny, there is no place to hide this diaper that I just stole.
My heart races even more. I feel like the beats can be heard from the waiting room. Even in a match or during an intense training session, my heart rate has never been so fast. Stealing is even better than doing cardio. But I have to focus. I hear noise in the waiting room again. The person must be settling in. My athlete's mind is used to having to make quick decisions. What options do I have? I don't see many actually.
The first would be to put the diaper back in the bag, and that in front of someone. Why not, but they wouldn't understand and then I wouldn't have the diaper that I would like to bring home. The second would be to run away from the doctor's office. I would have to justify this to Romain next time but also to my parents, Carine, and in that case, I don't see what lie I could come up with. The third solution, hide this diaper on me for the rest of the session and to go back home. I could position it on my back, tucked behind the elastic of my shorts. If it fell in front of other people, it would be terrible, I would be embarrassed. Moreover, Romain has not yet taken care of me, so I will have to lie down on the massage table, it is a real risk that the diaper will fall off my back. The last solution, the one that I see but that I believe I dare not imagine, is to... put this diaper on me, like Carine does every day.
This diaper seems relatively thin. If I put it on and pull up my underwear over it, it should be able to go unnoticed, at least, I hope. I hear noise next to me again, that stresses me even more. This time, I imagine that Romain and Carine must really be wondering what I'm doing, maybe even looking for me.
Since I met Carine and realized that she wears a diaper, I wondered what type they could be, pull-ons or with tape, I will finally know. So I unfold the diaper, a first time, then a second. It seems huge. I see that it has leak guards, but also tapes. So I was wondering, now I have the answer, they are baby diapers. I must admit, these are the ones I hoped to be able to try.
I then lower my shorts down my legs and do the same with my underwear. So now I am ready to put on this diaper, at least to try because it's a first for me. I would have preferred it to happen under different conditions, especially calm, at home and especially lying on a bed. Here, I will have to put it on while standing up and I imagine it's not easy.
And it's true! I can't hold the diaper and attach it at the same time. In fact, I would need more hands.
- Arthur? I hear through the door. Are you there?
This voice, it's Romain's. I immediately stop moving, afraid he will hear the plastic noise the diaper makes when I handle it. My heartbeat slows down, but then speeds up again. I hesitate for two seconds to answer but quickly realize that I have no other solution.
- Yes, I say with a slightly trembling voice, I'm here. I'm almost done.
- Ok, take your time, I was just wondering why you took so long to go get a drink.
- I'll be there soon.
I then hear footsteps, a sign that Romain has moved away. He told me to take my time, but I still need to hurry. Obviously not having another hand available, I try by pressing my butt against the wall to hold the diaper. And it works! I manage to attach one by one the tapes. It's not at all symmetrical but never mind. It's also not tight enough, I realize this because the diaper tends to fall down, but again, I'll deal with it. Now it's time to get dressed and face Carine and Romain. With my underwear pulled up, I take care of my shorts. I even tuck my t-shirt inside my shorts, so as not to show off the back of my diaper like Carine did the other day, accidentally.
There, I am dressed and more stressed than ever. I quickly look at myself to see if I can detect anything. I find it different from earlier, but it seems okay to me. I then realize that what I have been dreaming of for so many years has just come true... I am wearing a diaper and... I love it! It's comfortable and soft. Well, no time to think about how I feel, now it's time to go out. I then flush the toilet to make sure it doesn't look suspicious that I stayed so long, and I open the door after counting to three to try to calm my heart.
As I take a first step into the waiting room, I feel the gaze of the person who entered earlier. That person, I know her, it's Carine's mom whom I met the other day in the car when she drove me home.
- Hello Arthur, she says.
- Hello, ma'am, I say, stumbling half-heartedly.
- I told you, call me Cathy. I'm a little early so I came to wait for Carine here instead of staying in the car. But I'm sorry, I'm talking to you when I imagine you're in a hurry to go back to doing exercises. Go ahead quickly, we'll see each other later.
Without saying anything, I then leave the waiting room, hoping strongly that she doesn't hear the plastic noise that I hear with each of my steps.
